Private Fitness & Personal Training in Farnham
Founded in 2013, THE STUDIO is a private gym offering a variety of classes and 1-1 personal training sessions in the complete privacy of a bright, airy space in Farnham, Surrey.
It is fully equipped to a high standard and offers spin bikes, cross trainer, boxing equipment, free weights, Swissballs and a variety of other pieces of equipment to improve strength and fitness. Choose a Spin, Sculpt, Hybrid or Pilates class, or Personal Training on a 1-1 basis, with a partner or small group of friends (including bespoke fitness assessments).

Class Timetable & Services
SPIN
45 minutes of cardio on a bike with hills, standing hills, flats and standing sprints, all set to upbeat tunes. You control your gears and speed.

SCULPT
A strengthening, mat based class using body weight resistance and free weights to work every muscle in the body. Available in The Studio or via Zoom.

HYBRID
A combination of Spin and Sculpt - spinning and body weight resistance or free weights, a great mix of cardio and strengthening work.

PILATES
A series of flowing exercises focusing on strength, flexibility, breath work, posture, centring, control and alignment. It's a total body workout with a mindful emphasis on core stability and spinal safety. It can help greatly with many other sporting disciplines by improving strength and flexibility and minimising the risk of injury. Available in The Studio or via Zoom.

PERSONAL TRAINING AND PRIVATE PILATES
Small group personal training and Pilates available, please contact me for pricing details. Shorter sessions of eg. 30/40/45 minutes available on a pro rata payment basis.
1-1 REFORMER PILATES
The Reformer, it is a large piece of exercise equipment with a low, sliding carriage with springs, ropes and pulleys. The springs allow for changes in resistance, making it a challenging total body workout. The brand of Reformer used in The Studio is Merrithew which has the added benefit of an extra box, extender pad and vertical trampoline, providing a greater variety in the types of movements that can be performed, and introduces some cardio too.
The Treatment Room: Sports Massage Therapy
THE TREATMENT ROOM is next to The Studio and offers Sports Massage Therapy. This can be injury specific or just a general deep tissue massage for aches, pains and stiffness.
Sports Massage Therapy involves mobilisation and manipulation of soft tissue and myofascial tissue. It uses specific massage techniques to treat injuries, pain and tightness that have occurred often as a result of repetitive exercise and overuse. Sports massage is proven to release and reduce tension in muscles, improve vascular and lymphatic circulation, boost immune function, encourage the removal of toxins, improve posture, and help relax the body and calm the mind.
Each session includes consultation and assessment before deep tissue massage techniques are applied. The pressure of the massage is client led. Sports Massage Therapy can be beneficial both as a general maintenance massage, or to target a particular area during post injury rehabilitation.
About Jo
Jo runs a variety of classes and 1-1 sessions from The Studio in Lower Bourne, Surrey - a beautifully bright, airy and private space. More recently, Jo qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist. Her clinic is located right next to The Studio in Lower Bourne.
Jo has been an official Sweaty Betty Ambassador since 2015. She lives and breathes her favourite brand and is always happy to offer her advice!
